羅文鴻 Wen-Horng Lo

Wen-Horng Lo is a PhD student in the OEMI Laboratory at National Taiwan University (NTU) and an attending orthpedic surgeon at Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital in New Taipei city. He received her M.D. from Kaohsiung Medical University and later joined the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at NTU to pursue interdisciplinary research that integrates clinical orthopedics with quantitative movement science.

His research focuses on inter-segmental coordination, upper body balance control, lower limb end-point control, and the biomechanics of middle-age person with scoliosis. He is particularly interested in the differences in whole-body balance strategies between individuals with scoliosis and healthy controls. His current doctoral work examines the effects of scoliosis on human kinetics and kinematics during obstacle crossing and stair negotiation, with the aim of understanding joint-level motor strategies and predicting potential future disease progression.

His clinical practice focuses on degenerative spine conditions, sports medicine–related injuries, the management of degenerative joint diseases, general orthopedic care, osteoporosis treatment, minimally invasive fracture surgery, endoscopic minimally invasive spinal interventions, and percutaneous therapies for osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. He is a board-certified osteoporosis specialist and an active member of the Taiwan Spine Society, the Taiwan Society Of Endoscopic Spine Surgery, the Formosa Association Regenerative Medicine, and the Taiwan Society of Computer-Assisted Orthopedic Surgery.
