蘇文進 Wen-Chin Su

Dr. Wen-Chin Su is a Ph.D. student in the Orthopaedic Engineering and Movement Intelligence (OEMI) Laboratory at National Taiwan University (NTU) and a government-appointed orthopaedic surgeon currently serving at Penghu Hospital of Ministry of Health and Welfare. He received his M.D. from Chung Shan Medical University, and later entered the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at NTU after completing the orthopaedic residency training.

His research focuses on the biomechanical characteristics of elderly patients with degenerative knee osteoarthritis, with particular expertise in biplane fluoroscopy–based knee joint motion analysis. By integrating high-precision imaging biomechanics with clinical orthopaedics, his doctoral work aims to improve the understanding of pathological knee kinematics and contribute to better evaluation and treatment strategies for mobility impairment in aging populations.

Clinically, Dr. Su specializes in orthopaedic trauma surgery, spine surgery, joint arthroplasty, minimally invasive orthopaedic procedures, ultrasound-guided interventions, and the application of biomechanics clinical research in patient care. His dual training in surgery and engineering enables him to incorporate quantitative analysis, evidence-based methods, and modern imaging tools into clinical decision-making.

Committed to serving the Penghu community, Dr. Su strives to provide medical-center–level orthopaedic care to residents of the outlying islands, ensuring that high-quality treatment, advanced diagnostics, and compassionate service are accessible to patients regardless of location.
